Racing Flashback: On Board Video of Juan Manuel Fangio Driving the Maserati 250F

In today's world of motorsports, much to the delight of fans, it's the norm to have one or more cameras fitted in the car or even in the driver's helmet. But that wasn't the case back in the 1950's, so we were quite surprised to discover such a video featuring the five-time Formula 1 World Champion and one of the greatest pilots of all time, Juan Manuel Fangio. A moment of coolness follows in the film after the break, with Fangio driving the Maserati 250F racecar at the Modena Aero-Autodrome.

VIDEO: Maserati Quattroporte Hearse on Transport

Someone has turned Maserati's lovely Quattroporte sedan into a tall, bulky hearse, and there's video of it on a trailer below. Regardless of how it looks, it sure puts the Cadillacs used in America to shame. Unlike Ferrari, who has issues with anyone doing anything heinous to their cars (like making a 360 limousine), Maserati apparently doesn't mind too much.

Spotted near Modena by youtube's lambofanX, who usually doesn't film Quattroportes (but we're sure glad he did), it appears as if there's at least one Italian mortuary out there with mad style. This at least seems a little more appropriate for a funeral compared to those funky car coffins we recently showed you. Who knows, maybe Maserati's just prepping a hearse for the Vatican.

If anyone knows what this is for (other than hauling the deceased, that is) and where it's going, feel free to drop us a line.

SCOOP: New Maserati GranTurismo Special in the Works? [with Video]

If these spy photos and video are anything to go by, then Maserati could very well be working either on a facelifted version or -most likely-, a new variant of the GranTurismo sports coupe. Spied in Germany, the undisguised test car features a new lower apron up front along with a discreet but clearly visible boot lid spoiler and a redesigned rear bumper with two tail pipes mounted high on the center fascia at the back.

The modifications at the rear end of Maserati's sports coupe bring to mind the GranTurismo MC racing concept that was introduced in late 2008.

And while we're still short on details about this prototype, the Italian automaker has unveiled several versions of the GranTurismo over the past two years including the more powerful 'S' and 'S Automatic' models with the 440HP 4.7-liter V8, and the limited edition 'S MC Sport Line', so we wouldn't be surprised if this model turns out to be a hotted-up version of the 'S' model.

VIDEO: BMW 328 Kamm Coupe and Winning Maserati from the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2010

At this year's edition of the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, BMW showed off a 328 Kamm Coupé replica that was built in-house by BMW Classic. The original model, named after the German aerodynamics pioneer Wunibald Kamm, disappeared without trace back in 1953.

If you follow the jump, you can check out two videos of the BMW racing car replica as well as general views from the event and shots from the Maserati A6GCS Spider Fura that won the "Best of Show" award.

The prestigious annual show was organized under the patronage of the BMW Group and was held on April 23-25.
